"Heartkiller" - HIM.
The fabulous Finns, fronted by a make-up-free Ville Valo, came back this year with a more accessible album ('Screamworks: Love In Theory And Practice') which took the band back to its love metal roots after briefly going with a darker sound. The first single release from the album, "Heartkiller" was an energetic and appealing return to form.
Ville remains a very charismatic frontman, and HIM remain one of the world's most underrated rock bands. In an era where rock music is more frowned upon than ever, we should treasure them.
