The 2010-50 - No.30: Evergreen, you and me, we got everything here

"Baby Hurricane" - Vincent.

If all my favourite Swedish artists released albums over the past year to 18 months, there was one missing piece of the jigsaw: the brilliant Vincent Pontare.

We've all been eagerly waiting for him to make a comeback after that great debut album, so the good news is that the follow-up "Godspeed" is finally on the way. In the meantime, the first single from it is here to enjoy. It took me a little while to get into this song, which is more lightweight than what I'd expected, with its Beach Boys-feel; however it's now a firm favourite.

In this post, Damian from the always-wonderful Swedish Stereo http://swedishstereo.blogspot.com/2010/10/vincent-baby-hurricane.html makes some very good points and makes an interesting comparison with Salem Al Fakir...now there's someone who might make an appearance in my chart at some point.
